Energy reduction deadlines have been extended! As of April 1st 2025, the first interim target is now due in 2028, the 2027 interim target is eliminated, and the final target is moved from 2030 to 2032.
Did you know that timelines can be extended if your HVAC systems are not yet at their end of life? If the system is determined to be past 50% of its useable life, but not yet to its full-service life, you can be eligible for a timeline adjustment. An Energy Audit must be completed and submitted to the City of Denver for a timeline adjustment to be accepted. Download the following PDF to see if your HVAC system may be eligible.
HVAC End of System Service Life
The City of Denver is offering large rebates to buildings over 25,000 square feet for ASHRAE Level 2 Energy Audits. Funds are only available until they run out! Rebates are based on square footage and range up to $30,000. See the City of Denver’s webpage for more information.
